All about me !

Hi my name is Dylan i'm 9 years old and i'm turning 10 soon. I'm a year 5.  I'm very excited about any camps in the future. I really love reading i also love art. My friends are : Kayden, Max, Nathan, Jasper, George, Billy. I do gymnastics and swimming, gymnastics for 4 hours a week and swimming 2 hours a week.
 My fav subjects in class are: writing and reading.

Bike Trip

                                            Bike Trip 

Week 7 we went on a awesome bike trip some people went hiking.

We went the easy bike track first I liked it but it was to easy. 
The track was muddy from the last couple of days but that doesn't mean we couldn't go on the tracks.

Next we went on the not so easy bike track it was a challenge for me so I liked it. Some of the track was muddy there was 2 rivers as well. it was sunny but shady as well there was steep hills and long drops.

Then we got to choose to do the hard track or the not so easy track again I chose the not so easy track because the not so easy was a challenge for me.😃

Last week we did assembly. In assembly room 8 showed tempo. [fast and slow] I felt a bit sceard when we started but at the end i felt realy good. We used the rarko sticks our speaker was Keria and 
our conductor was Amy. After we did that we did a mixed rythm. Then we shared our flax flowers. i felt realy good when everyone claped. I felt a nervous when we used the rarko sticks bet felt super good when everyone claped. Then it was time for the katakiea.                                                    THE END

My Reflection Week 10

My Reflection  Week 10

Maths in maths we went down to mat with Mrs Bryant and did crazy questions like 136 x 3 I was so hard. But essay at the end. I felt ok cuse i did some at home to refresh my brain because I knew that we were gonna do some more with Mrs Bryant.

Reading in Reading we did book talk and proofreading and editing. I finally got how to proofread and edit properly you were supposed to find ten mistakes but i found 11! In book talk i shared diary of a minecraft zombie book 3. I got some great  ideas of books i should read next. Like harry potter and the chamber of secrets lucky i’m reading the first one.

Writing in writing we have been making a simile story I've published mine and it’s on the wall. ?

Inquiry in inquiry Room 8 wasn't here

Room 9 we have been going around pirongia and learning about the treaty of Waitangi we also had to make a video about the treaty of Waitangi. I was annoyed because we didn’t get to finish our video. Room 10 in room 10 we made a integrity game and had to teach it to the little kids.

Integrity games : With Mrs Hobbs we made a game to teach to the little kids in Rata. I felt nervous when we shared ours. But the kid liked it and that's what matters. Still some kids didn't get it most of them did.

Treaty of Waitangi : With Mrs Starthen we learnt about the treaty of Waitangi and had to make a video about the treaty of Waitangi. Ours didn't go so well because the battery ran out and we hadn't finished ours.😢 After all I did learn alot about the treaty of Waitangia.

Music : With Mr Gemmel we did all sorts of music activity's it was really fun the activity were cool I got to touch my first piano. We did : body percussion , lots of instruments , and learnt about dynamics , pitch , and tempo. I felt ok because I like music.                   

My Reflection Week 9

WEEK 9

In maths Mrs Braiant showed us how to break down gigantic times tables to actually be able to work them out. I didn't get it at the start but at the end it was essay. After I felt like a human cucolater.

In Reading we did proof reading and editing. It was weird I felt like i couldn't do it.The word search was fun some people said it was impossible but I found all twelve words. Making our own word search was fun but it took awhile.I felt good when I finished all my tasks.

In Writing we had to write a story with similes it was fun i like similes. Then we had to edit our story i didn't get a p for publishing.

If felt ok about the editing it was a little hard.

In Inquiry Room 8 i wasn't here. Room 9 wasn't here. Room 10 we started to set up our integrity games. Then we went around to play each others games, I felt nervous when they played our game, they looked they had fun.

In Maths we did algorithms I felt like they were at weird at the start but essay at the end. RISK is really fun

In Reading we read along in our heads while reading other person was reading , then Mr Gemmell would call on someone and they would read.

In Inquiry room 9 we went to the musem i got a copple facts on my shet most of all it was fun.

Room 8 we had to get a group together and demonstrate bodypecautoin it was really fun. 

Room 10 we mad more of our game.

Reading: in Reading I learnt how to compere one of our experience to a book. I feel good about Reading. I think brain bank is a great idea.   

Math: in Maths we did family of facts.  i feel great about maths so far i think i'm doing very well. family of facts are fun i like doing them. F.I.O are a fun math activity some of hard some of them are easy. I also learnt that A + A = S     and    S - A = A
