My Reflection Term 2 Week 9

Maths in maths we learnt how to reverse our division question into a multiplication question to check our answer. I feel confident about division because I know most timetables, So the makes division a fraction easier. (get the pun "Fraction"). Me, Kayla and Emily Ba came up with a new maths game, its like the area game we're going to show Mr Gemmel and see if it's okay to show the class.

Reading in reading we did proof reading and editing about Jaguars, fist we have to find the 10 mistakes, and then we have to copy it out into our books. I find it not to hard but not easy to find the 10 mistakes. We also did book talk, I shared the book worlds worst children 2.

Speeches okay don't get me wrong I like speeches, but I was VERY nervous. My speech was about bees and what will happen without them, here is a link ----> Dylan's Speech

Reflection Term 2 Week 8

Maths in Maths we did this division book and had to do these division problems with a 0 in the quotient. It was hard and fun I got 2 wrong most people got some wrong too. After that we did risk and me and Emily won. I like maths and I think i'm improving I'm in the super stars maths group, That's for the people that understand division and want to move on into harder division.

Reading in Reading we had to proof read, then edit, then hand write. Wen also did weekly spelling. And book talk and reading books. I like reading and if I get a good book I will not stop reading it.

Writing in Writing we had to write a speech about if the school got 3 million dollars what we would by with money, and i chose a bigger playground. And it had to go to Mrs Cullen after. (gulp)

Rotations in Rotations we did music with Mr Gemmel (rm 8), Were doing the song heathens by 21 pilots.
In Rm 9 we did gymnastics we finally got to do the vault and the beam.
Same in Rm 10 we did gymnastics.

My Reflection Term 2 Week 6

In maths this week we did division problems and learnt how to do long division, We also watched a video about long division and all the steps to do it correctly, and how to break it into small steps. I like division because I am good at times so i'm fine with division.

In Reading this week we did weekly spelling. I found it hard to be able to find the definition for all the words because our words were contractions. We did proof reading an handwriting as well, first we had to proof read it then we had to edit the mistakes then hand write it. I found it hard to find the mistakes but the handwriting bit was easy.

In writing we did speech, now I feel OK about speeches but sharing then is a whole other story. I've finished my speech and have written it on docs and have been making a few adjustments.

In inquiry we have been making a slide show about free range chickens vs caged chickens it's fun making slide show I recon we should make then more often.

In rotations we did no music with Rm 8 because of the Queens Birthday. 

Rm 9 we did gymnastics and I know I've said it in every other blog but I LOVE gymnastics I do competition gymnastics and have to do a higher level so I have to do gymnastics at morning tea.

Rm 10 we did netball and learnt how privet and did a game called window wipers. We did a boy vs girl match of netball it was fun but a bit unfair. The score was 0 nil.

My Reflection Term 2 Week 5

Maths in maths we have been doing Mathletics, F.I.O ( figure it out ) in figure it out we did a division in 3s activity and learnt that if you divide a number by 3s there  will be no remainder.

Reading in reading we did weekly spelling handwriting and proof reading. I think we should read through a book and see how much of our words for the week are. Or we could make a funny but appropriate sentence with all of our words and have a comp to see how wins. Or we could make a poem with our words for the week that would be really fun.

Writing in writing we did our speech, I like doing speech because iv'e got all my speech done so i'm writing it on my laptop and iv'e got a lot of facts in my speech.

Inquiry in inquiry we did music and are doing the song Heathens. I like that song so it's easy to learn. i'm doing the piano (rm 8)
(rm 9) we did gymnastics and LOVE gymnastics so i get to show them there floor rouiteen.
(rm 10) we did netball and yeah it was fun we played a game called window wipers and another game i don't know what it's called.  

Reflection Term 2 Week 4

Maths: In maths we did F.I.O ( figure it out ), Mathletics, and area game finally one of us one the whole page and it was ME. ( and i was away for whatever else we did)

Reading : In reading we did weekly spelling, handwriting, and obsessively Reading. (and was away if we did anything else)

Writing : In writing we did nothing.

Rotations : In Rotations with room 8 we did the song Heathens by 21 pilots. I'm doing the keyboard. With room 9 we did gymnastics and i love  gymnastics so I got to teach them.

Reflection Week 3 Term 2

My Reflection

Math we learnt how to figure out HARD problems easily for example : 54 x 4 = 216                                                                                                                                              200 + 16 = 216.   We also learnt to make our own word problem. they were fun. We did this really hard work sheet it was not fun.

Reading we did proof reading and handwriting after we found 10 mistakes. We had to change words like this. SKY = SKIES Rule : Vowel keep the y and add s- Consonant y changes to ies.

Writing we did nothing.

Rotations we did music and were doing the song heavens by the way i'm doing the piano.(room 8)
we did gymnastics and i love gymnastics because i do competition gymnastics. (room 9)
we also did ?????? I was away sick.

My Reflection

Maths we did statistics, it hard but fun we did whats your favorite lunch and the class winner was... subway.   We went on mathletics and did the area game also.

Reading we did proof reading about iguanas and handwriting it after we found ten mistakes. we did book talk I shared wonder its amazing go read it yourself. We did brain bank and weekly spelling.

Rotations room 8 we decided that we are going to sing heavens. ( I'm doing the piano )
room 9 were did gymnastics I LOVE gymnastics i even do compositions. I had to show some kids how to ford roll.
room 10 we did basketball it was fun my partner was Nathan we learnt how to shoot the ball properly I think i'm going to play basketball more often now.

Inquiry we are learning about the differences between free range chickens and caged.

My Reflection


Math: in maths we did geometry ( shapes ) We learnt were the 360 mark is the 180 mark is and the 90 mark is. We also did some tactic working out so we know how to work out questions easy like...  63 divided by 7 = ?       so 7 x 8 = 63    so 63 divided by 7 = 8  that's called reversing. We did lots more tactics to.

Reading: This week in Reading we have been learning : when adding a suffix vowel drop the e, When adding a suffix constant keep the e. We also did some proofreading and editing. It was about diamondback rattlesnakes. I learnt a lot from that.

Writing: This week in writing we did nothing 😐

Inquiry: in inquiry we did nothing 😐

Reflection Week 11

Maths: In maths we went down to the mat with Mrs Bryant, We had to do equation like this. 
363 x 3
(300 + 60 + 3) x 3
300 x 3 = 900
60 x 3 = 180
3 x 3 = 9
900 + 180 + 9 = 1089
We also did Mathletics and games; area, risk and lots of other options. # i love maths it's fun

Reading: In reading we did some weekly spelling brain bank.
Brain bank is when you read a book and answer the questions.
Games is when you pick one of the activity's and then you play it.

Writing: In writing we published our simile writing ( it's on the wall go read now please 😠) We also did proofreading and editing it was a peace about flamingos we had to read it then edit it, I like editing so i'm with it. 

What i'm looking ford to next term INQUIRY BECAUSE I LOVED WHAT WE DID THIS TERM SO I'M EXITED TO SEE WHAT WE WILL DO NEXT TERM.

Integrity games

Our game was called speed run lots of kids liked it this is  how it goes>SPEED RUN ( click to view.) 

most of the kids found it fun but some got confused about the tag the tagger bit. I found it hard to control the kids now I know how teachers feel. 😐 It was a sunny day all the kids huffing and puffing sounded like they needed a drink desperately. I now know that I need to improve on the instructions like maybe the runners don't tag the taggers. Instead when you get tagged you stand still then when they call the next colour the runners can crawl under you and you are free.
