Reflection Week 8 Term 3

Maths : In maths we did Mathletics and like always a Figure it out. I did mine with Nathan we had to figure if there was enough space on the island if the sea rose and the water came up and covered up the first layer of houses. The answer was yes, I found this activity fun and easy.

Reading : In reading we had to read a book and then write down 5 facts in the book and design our own version on what the book was based on.

Production : Production was GREAT I didn't mess up or do the wrong move. It was so fun most of my family came I loved it. Although our dance was first and then we just have to wait to the end it was fun to watch.

Reflection Term 3 Week 7

Maths: in maths we have been learning about fractions and how to answer questions like this 1 fifth of 40 = 8. we have also have been given a work sheet with question like the one 1 fifth of 40 = 8. I got 7 out of 10 (I think)

production : I'm in the class room bit in the production (the first scene) I like our dance because it's funny. My favorite scene is the trees and the birds. I think were ready for our first performance I'm SO nervous though.

Reflection Term 3 Week 5

Reading: in reading we did brain bank (mine was about leafs) I had to rewrite a sentence that had spelling mistakes, But that was easy.

Writing: in writing we did handwriting which didn't take long. It was well just coping off a computer. We also had to do 10 sentences that had our spelling words in them. But the hard bit was finding them in a dictionary.

Production: in production we had a run through of our production.(our dance is on first gulp) They recorded us and are going to use it as a teaser so people come to watch.

Reflection Week 4 Term 3

Maths : in maths we did a long division line that I really enjoyed it was fun and I think it was a great challenge for me, I got one off the hard division lines right and one off them wrong. We also did mathlectics and I got ANOTHER bronze meddle for getting 1000 points.

Reading : in reading we did a proof reading and editing, I found it hard to find all off the mistakes. (still haven't found them all yet) The proof reading was about Albert einstein. We also did a static image excise, We had to color in a picture and use the opposite shade to evoke different emotions.

Production : for production we have to do this silly dance and then go into who let the dogs out which none of us know the who let the dogs out dance and it's nearly the show! I like doing the production but some of the kids go off task. and make it hard to learn.

       

Reflection Week 3 Term 3

Maths: in maths we had to do this work sheet and go down to the mat to mark the sheet the times tables on the sheet were quite easy but the measurement was hard. I came down to the mat for a recap on measurement. Now I get how to do measurement and it is a easy as cake. (don't know easy cake is but i'm guessing pretty easy)

Reading : in reading we did some plays that were really fun ours was about a robot that drives buses, We also did a reading quiz about the book you are reading your reading buddy had to choose some book questions and you had to answer them, I found this easy because we read just be for the quiz.

Production : in production we finished our school dance and now have to learn the who let the dogs out dance. (our dance looks cool and funny at the same time)

  

Reflection Week 2 Term 3

Maths : in maths we a division line that I got 100 percent in, I think the division line is a good idea but it's a bit to easy for me. I finished the whole line like 5-8 minuets be for we marked the division line. I think if you finish the line, that there should be another task for the people that finish so they don't have to wait for the other people to finish.

Reading : in reading we did a proof reading and editing sheet that we have to find all the mistakes, I find this fun and a bit tricky, it's a good challenge for me. We also did book talk (like always) and I shared the book floors, I'ts such a good book definitely go read it.

Production : in production we have to come up with a dance that is related to school children, Trust me it's MUCH harder to come up than it seems. Parents please come to the show (but try not to laugh please it's a VERY weird dance)

Reflection Week 1 Term 3

Maths: in maths we were sent to do a maths equations like 20 x 7 which is 140 because 2 x 7 = 14 so times that by 10 and we get 140 its that simple, I think this was a bit to easy, I found the next task a bit more tricky when we were sent with our group to make up our own questions for each other this was fun but some questions got a bit over the top.

Reading: in reading we did proof reading, I found this hard to find all the mistakes. (still haven't found them all) Book talk we are now in new groups I am in the orange group. I like book talk because we get ideas about what books we might like.

Production: In production I am a school child and we have to do this funny dance parents you will get to see this dance sooner or later. (trust me its weird)





  

Reflection Term 2 Week 10

Inquiry: in inquiry we are doing chicken a farming slide and have to come up with a solution to help the poor chickens that are stuck in a cage all day long. Here is a link to my slide Dylan's chicken slide
I like chickens and fell sorry for the chickens that have to sit in a cage all day long and think it is not fair because the owner choose to not bother to by cage. This is not fair. I think it is good that we got to do a slide on this I learnt a lot.

Gym Sports: in gym sports we went to the event center next to the pools to compete, I was in session two (all my friend were in session three) I cam first place in twisters and Pirongia school came first, Then we went to the YMI and got to swing on the bar and rings but we didn't get to go on the tramp or the ropes. When we got back it was prize giving and hip hop and cheerleaders performance. We came first in cheer leading and think we came second in hip hop so yeah we did pretty good. I love gymnastics and do composition gymnastics so, I was pretty calm, My mum volunteered to go around with the groups and help them with there byes.

Music: In music we have choose a song to preform in front of the whole school. (heathens is our song) I'm doing the keyboard and have always wanted to play the keyboard or the piano and now I get to play the keyboard in front of the whole school! I have always had a liked listening to music, And know the song heathens quite well. #spoiler alert don't read if you going to assembly. We will be preforming the song at assembly this Friday so come repaired for the best band ever.

My Reflection Term 2 Week 9

Maths in maths we learnt how to reverse our division question into a multiplication question to check our answer. I feel confident about division because I know most timetables, So the makes division a fraction easier. (get the pun "Fraction"). Me, Kayla and Emily Ba came up with a new maths game, its like the area game we're going to show Mr Gemmel and see if it's okay to show the class.

Reading in reading we did proof reading and editing about Jaguars, fist we have to find the 10 mistakes, and then we have to copy it out into our books. I find it not to hard but not easy to find the 10 mistakes. We also did book talk, I shared the book worlds worst children 2.

Speeches okay don't get me wrong I like speeches, but I was VERY nervous. My speech was about bees and what will happen without them, here is a link ----> Dylan's Speech

Reflection Term 2 Week 8

Maths in Maths we did this division book and had to do these division problems with a 0 in the quotient. It was hard and fun I got 2 wrong most people got some wrong too. After that we did risk and me and Emily won. I like maths and I think i'm improving I'm in the super stars maths group, That's for the people that understand division and want to move on into harder division.

Reading in Reading we had to proof read, then edit, then hand write. Wen also did weekly spelling. And book talk and reading books. I like reading and if I get a good book I will not stop reading it.

Writing in Writing we had to write a speech about if the school got 3 million dollars what we would by with money, and i chose a bigger playground. And it had to go to Mrs Cullen after. (gulp)

Rotations in Rotations we did music with Mr Gemmel (rm 8), Were doing the song heathens by 21 pilots.
In Rm 9 we did gymnastics we finally got to do the vault and the beam.
Same in Rm 10 we did gymnastics.
